Comments from Training Participants

“To say that it was a good training session wouldn’t give the Growth Principles Company the credit they deserve. It was life changing for me and the vehicle (the CORE10 and the event) that has since unified the management team…”

“As a new center director, prior to my relationship with the Growth Principles Company, my communication with my management team lacked clarity in direction and purpose. Through the Growth Principles Company’s training summits with my management team and another with all staff, we have gained tremendous clarity on direction and tools for center performance through the Core10 process and Core Index assessment. For instance, 86% of our staff have indicated that they felt we are moving in the right direction for our future center growth. Our performance has improved from an overall center rating prior to our association with Growth Principles (November ‘07 to February ‘08) of 86.98% to 96.93% since our association with Growth Principles (March ‘08 through July ‘08).”

“The timing of the Core 10 training could not have been at better. It provides a great process framework for accomplishing our outstanding center tasks… I left the training session with a feeling that the senior staff had a clearer understanding of our direction and a stronger commitment to the attainment of our vision than I have seen on center previously.”

“My staff and I are very excited about the training that we have received thus far. We are applying the principles to our work product and we see and feel the positive changes and growth we are making. Dr. Kimball states change is inevitable growth is optional. As such, the principles that he presented to us are user friendly, practical, and they can be applied in all areas of one’s life.”

“Best training session I’ve experienced ever!”

“…the core 10 Process will be an invaluable guide to our management team in determining what other systems might benefit our center and of course the best way to get them in place. Overall this process is an excellent tool or “guide” for management to follow to keep us “on track” in regard to involving staff and communicating the direction we want to go and the systems that are chosen to get there. Distinct direction is probably the most needed emphasis on our center at this time and this provides us with tremendous assistance in “synchronizing” all the fantastic assets in the way of staff ability and experience …I believe that if we are faithful in applying the Core 10 Growth Principles we will not be able to “avoid” significant improvement in our ratings.”

“The direction provided by the Core 10 process appears to meet the need of this one “faltering” part of our system. I believe by using the Core 10 process to bring together all the varying “chords” on one “sheet of music” that [we] will indeed create a “Symphony” that will be pretty amazing.”

“I believe the training this week will allow us to use the CORE 10 principles to initiate and achieve the change that is needed, particularly as it pertains to implementing and consistently following our systems… As a management team, we will have to be the example for our staff on a daily basis. In order to get buy in, they must 1st understand that we as a management team are committed to the change, and as a result intend to follow and closely monitor the systems we have in place. Just the process of using the CORE 10 principles will increase employee engagement, which ultimately is what will allow us to accomplish our goals, since line staff are the folks who are actually out there doing the work everyday.”

“The Core 10 principles enhances the vision of the center and reinforces the mission of a positive peer culture toward advancement in the overall ranking and the improvement of the community relations. The revised vision will give all staff a new sense of direction and opportunity for engagement to take the center to whole new level.”

“The Core 10 Growth Principles is an amazing concept that makes a lot of sense. Just reading about it, without the benefit of training, would not have produced a true picture of what Core10 is all about. I cannot wait to get all staff trained on these principles. It will help in writing SOP’s that other people can understand other than yourself. I see problems in a totally different light and they do not appear to be nearly as insurmountable as they used to be. I think that I will use the Core 10 growth principles on things that really need to be structured, thus allowing the personal feelings not to get in the way of what’s important. These Principles will allow staff to be a part of the solution to the problems that they present. I think that this will allow them to become “engaged” in the positive direction of the Center.”

“Staff have approached me asked just what was the training and probably more importantly the results of their survey. While I have postponed giving the survey results until I can do it in a formal staff meeting, I have let them know that this was one of the most useful training sessions I have been a part of in years. I will introduce the concept in my next week’s staff meeting and have training on it during summer break. I am one who needs structure when tackling issues and the Core 10 provides that.”

“The vision/mission statement exercise was a great investment of time and effort. To know that we all know now what our mission is forms the catalyst from which now we generate our efforts.”

“By far, the best [training] I’ve experienced in my professional career”

“Very clearly explained, great presentation, active & engaged. Well organized.”

“By far the Organization Development course taught by Dr. Kimball has been one of the highlight experiences for me in my education. Dr. Kimball brings to the table a wealth of knowledge and experience related to OD and organizational dynamics that he conveys in a humble yet passionate manner. I was inspired to continue to develop myself in the field of OD. I found Dr. Kimball to be an incredibly valuable resource of support, advice, and guidance. He structured the class so that we were able to interact with the material in a way that brought it to life and helped me see past the surface level issues and understand the deeper, more impacting organizational dynamics. Dr. Kimball is certainly considered one of the experts in systems thinking as related to organizations. He has managed to simplify cybernetics and makes it easy to apply theory to the practical inner workings of organizations.
